The Connaught
London, United Kingdom

Style: Classic Luxury. Built: 1897. Remodeled: 2007. Rooms: 121. Suites: 42.

Located on Mount Street in the heart of fashionable Mayfair Village, this legendary address was recently the subject of a multi-million pound restoration. The detailed work includes a magnificent redesign of the guest rooms, suites and interiors, with the addition of a new wing providing additional rooms and suites and the unique-in-the-world Aman Spa. Many of the original features, including the magnificent mahogany staircase, have been skilfully restored and blend harmoniously with bold design and contemporary accents. Espelette provides an informal yet elegant dining venue with sweeping views over Carlos Place; the Coburg Bar evokes the spirit of the old Connaught, but with a contemporary twist, whilst the Connaught Bar has been given a fresh new look by renowned designer David Collins. The Connaught's love affair with gastronomy entered an exciting new phase with the arrival of Michelin-starred Hélène Darroze, one of France's most distinguished chefs. Inspired by authentic regional and seasonal flavours, with roots in her native Landes region of South West France, Hélène oversees all cuisine at the Connaught.
